Let your actions define who you are, not your past.

I'm Simone, A worldwide published author and leading PTSD expert on PTSD and service dogs. I'm also a mother of 3, U.S. Army veteran, SA/IPV survivor and public speaker.

I am a Military sexual assault survivor.

I was assaulted in the Army and dealt with un diagnosed Ptsd for year afterwards. I would self medicate and participated in risky behaviour until I found therapy that helped me understand my truama and adaptive behaviours. Once diagnosed I started exploring every avenue of healing and recovery. This lead me to eventually have a service dog of my own, Gunner. Along with deep inner work, my service dog granted me huge amounts of confidence. I wanted other survivors to feel the same empowerment and thus my idea for one of the first nonprofits in the country to provide service dogs to persons with SA PTSD was founded.

Service dogs can be life changing to persons with PTSD and especially SA Survivors.

Gunner showed me the strength I had within myself and now I make it my life's mission share my story about service dogs and encouragement that PTSD is treatable.

Today I speak and write to other Survivors of Ptsd and spread awareness over the less talked about forms of PTSD, such as from sexual assault or gun violence.

Healing and recovery is possible, never give up and stay strong❤️

My Story

I was sexually assaulted in the Army in 2007 which I didn't receive healthcare or proper handling which lead to me leaving the army. I developed PTSD and lived 20 years without being diagnosed. Once diagnosed I started exploring all and every avenue to healing and recovery. In 2017 I founded one of the first nonprofits to pair service dogs with SA survivors. In 2020 I filed for divorce from an abusive husband. Ever since my divorce I have a book coming out called "PTSD and what helped me" and I am a worldwide advocate for mental health, PTSD awareness and service dogs. I am a mom of 3 and no longer volunteer for the nonprofit but self promote advocacy and have a solo career now. Spreading the message that PTSD is treatable to a greater population than the non-profit was able to reach is my new mission now. I have appeared on "The world we want" World Health Organization podcast which is on Apple or YouTube.

My Mission
To share my story, experience and recovery to encourage other Survivors never to give up on recovery, God and healing. To raise awareness so that others won’t have walk the same hard path.

My Vision
To live in a peaceful world where mutual respect, equality and acceptance of every human being and animal is treasured.

My Goal
To help others find their own healing path. I want to show the world that recovery is possible from all types of traumatic events with the help of God accompanied by the stength to never give up. A service dog by your side is a great start too!
